AUTUMN DAYS

Here's a timeless stamp set just right for the season.  I have used it for a Thanksgiving card below.  (OK why not have pheasant instead of turkey for dinner?)

This set has it all and I used two of the stamps on the front of the card, in addition to the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  There are also two different kinds of branches with leaves, an individual maple leaf and a pine cone stamp in this set.  Lots of possibilities.

The stamp set is appropriately called Autumn Days (#115452) and is available on my web site.

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

SENDING SALTY MEOWS

*****************************************************
It's so sad when we lose a furry friend.  Having known that feeling personally, I try to send a sympathy card to the owner of a lost pet.  It really helps to know someone else feels your pain.  This is a card we made in one of my classes, and I was pleased to find I still have the working sample of it.  Going forward, I'm going to keep a supply on hand for just such an occasion.

The stamp set is called "C is for Cat" and the sentiment, "so sorry for the loss of your little friend" says it all. Colors are Peach Parfait ink on Whisper White card stock, Basic Grey for the sentiment, Tempting Turquoise on Baja Breeze card stock, and a 2-1/2" circle punched from Real Red and trimmed with our wonderful new Dazzling Details.  All is mounted onto Pear Pizzazz card stock.  (I love that color).

Don't forget (especially if you're a new stamper) the most wonderful way to get started on your stamping journey is to take advantage of this month's special.  Purchase two "Simply Sent" kits and receive a coordinating stamp set!  So easy - all materials provided and pre-cut with full instructions.  Be careful though - you WILL get hooked on this hobby once you show off your beautiful work and can say, "I made this".  Have a great day and remember to pay a good deed forward - it feels so good!

WEDDING DAY!

WEDDING DAY!

TODAY IS THE WEDDING OF SOME SPECIAL FOLKS AND I WANTED TO SHARE THE CARD I MADE FOR THEM.

MANY THANKS TO RUBY JOHNSON (RUBYSTAMPS.BLOGSPOT.COM) FOR THE INSPIRATION.

I USED MY BIG SHOT BIG TIME LOL!

THE STRIPES, ELEGANT BOUQUET AND PETALS-A-PLENTY EMBOSSING FOLDERS; AS WELL AS THE SCALLOPED HEART OF HEARTS EMBOSSLIT DIE (LOVE LOVE, L-O-V-E  THIS ONE).

CARD STOCK COLORS ARE SIMPLE, JUST BLACK AND WHITE.  I USED THE FULL HEART, THE PINKING HEARTS CORNER, THE WORD WINDOW AND THE MODERN LABEL PUNCHES.  THE SENTIMENT IS STAMPED WITH TEENY TINY WISHES.  I USED SOME BASIC PEARLS AND BASIC RHINESTONES HERE AND THERE AND FINISHED THE CARD BY SNIPPING A LITTLE BOW TIE IN BASIC BLACK CARD STOCK.  HOPE YOU LIKE IT.  I'D APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS HERE.  AND DON'T FORGET TO VISIT RUBY AND COMPLEMENT HER!

I'M OFF TO SIGN IT AND LEAVE IN A FEW FOR THE BIG EVENT.  HOPE YOU HAVE A PLEASANT DAY, AS WELL!

HAVING A FUN DAY IN MY CRAFT STUDIO!

I love this kind of day.  Nothing special planned, nowhere I have to be, so playing with paper and ink is top on the priority  list.  I made this cute card using a few new fun tricks.

I used the 3/8" Very Vanilla Velvet Stitched Ribbon, which is introduced in our new Holiday Mini Catalog.  I colored the ribbon using the side of the large tip of my Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker and just love how it came out!  The Early Espresso layer is just card stock run through our new "Stripes" embossing folder and the Big Shot machine.  What an unusual effect it creates - hope you can see it.  The stamp set is "Cherish Friendship"; card stocks are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and our 100% cotton watercolor paper.  Such a pleasure using our aqua pens and ink pads to color in the stamped image on this great water color paper and not worry about it bleeding through.  I finished off the image with some Crystal Effects to make those cherries shine!  Hope you like it.  Any questions, please drop me a line.  I'd be happy to help!  Have a great day and happy stamping!

SWAP ANYONE?

Stampin' Up! demonstrators across the country love to share ideas, and one of the best ways is to swap card fronts at our annual convention.  As a new demonstrator, I was apprehensive about joining in the Swap.  With all the talent in this company, I wasn't sure I could create something that others would want.  I was pleasantly surprised that my Mojo did not disappoint me, and I received positive feedback on my swap.  Here it is:

The stamp sets I used are SNOW MUCH FUN (#122560 wood mount) and DELICATE DOILIES (#122590 wood mount). The background is created using one of the doily stamps with VersaMark ink, then embossing the images with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  Over that is a layer of Melon Mambo card stock and Delicate Doilies Designer Series paper (it is so gorgeous).

Next I stamped the sweet snowman in Staz-On ink, cut him out, colored him with markers and sparkled him up with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
Decided to add the little birdie on a snowball and used the same technique on him.  Then I glittered up a small pom pom and glued it the snowball image.

The greeting was stamped with VersaMark and then jazzed up with our new Melon Mambo embossing powder.

Everything was attached with Dimensionals to make it pop and I finished the card using 3 sizes of pearls from our Basic Pearls set.  (Looks like one of the buttons didn't make it back home).

You can order the items for this cute little card on my website by clicking below.  As always, I'm available to help with tips and directions.  Thanks so much for looking and Happy Stamping.

Making A Difference

Hi Friends:

I have just returned from the annual Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City, UT. It goes without saying that I am excited about the new SU products and projects; but I must share how I moved I was to learn of Stampin' Up!'s commitment to the Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. As you probably know, the RMH program provides a home near hospitals to families who need a place to stay while their child receives medical treatment.

The RMH near the Loyola Medical Center in the Chicago, IL suburbs was in need of a local Stampin' Up! demonstrator to take the lead, schedule the events, and stock the rooms with cards and with notes, which the families use to communicate with concerned folks back home.

It was an honor and a privilege for me to take on the role of Lead Demonstrator and my first official action will be to ensure you have some very heartwarming information about Stampin' Up!

Each year, Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set to help raise money for the RMH charity. And for the first time, this year Stampin' Up! is donating $3.00 to the charity for each stamp set purchased.

Check out this cute stamp set & visit my website by clicking here to order your own (and input 122870 for wood mount or 122872 for clear in the search box). If you are new to stamping, you may want to consider the stamp pads and paper, also available in my online store. No other products you order however, will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Thanks so much for helping out.

PENNANT PARADE - SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

 PENNANT PARADE
(CLEAR)
STAMP SET

This new stamp set is so much fun to play with!   Here is a quick and easy Birthday Card made with it.

Using Daffodil Delight, plus new in-colors of Lucky Lime Aid and Calypso Coral, the patterns were stamped on Whisper White card stock, punched out with our new Petite Pennants Builder and mounted on new in-color Pool Party card stock.  The pennants are popped up with dimensionals, then pieces of White Baker's Twine are added on the ends to give the illusion of a banner.  And check out the trim under the pennants!  It is made with our new Lace Ribbon Border punch!  Cute or what?  Email me for a list of supplies and step-by-step instructions to make this cute card.  Thanks so much for looking and Happy Stamping!

SAYING GOOD BYE

Hi Stampers!

Here is a darling card made with two of my favorite stamp sets, "Tart 'n Tangy" and "Cheers to You".  When the new catalog comes out on July 1, these sets will be retired.  It's sad to say good bye, but it's exciting to know that new sets are being introduced, and we always wind up with New Favorites!

The front of the card is decorated with slices from the "Tart 'n Tangy" set using Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and So Saffron ink, then dotted with Two Way Glue and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  The cute little umbrella drink is stamped from the "Cheers to You" set, colored with Stampin' Write markers and layered to front of card over a strip of card stock.

Over a layer of So Saffron card stock, the inside is decorated with various drinks from the "Cheers to You" stamp set; colored with Stampin' Write markers, and punched with the 1-3/8" round punch and the 1-3/4" round punch (champagne glass only).  It's not easy to see, but there is glitter above the champagne!

If you would like to have these sets, now is your last chance. "Click to order" here on my site and you will be directed to my online store.

Happy Stamping and thanks so much for looking!
