COOKIES COOKIES COOKIES

Went to the family cookie exchange yesterday.  It was such a blast!   So much fun, with big hugs, lots of kisses and side splitting laughter.   I finished my cookie plates with a homemade tag and took a close-up of it.

It was so easy to make using the Two Tags Big Shot Die, our regular size and our new petite size Scallop Circle Punches, the Holiday Mini-Punches and the good ol' standby punch, the Decorative Label.  A little glitter and a rhinestone for bling and yay - a fun label.  I attached it with Dimensionals to a piece of Petals A Plenty embossed background stock and added a little "fence" to tuck the cookie recipes into.  It's just a piece of Designer Series Paper jazzed up with the Scallop Border Punch and placed securely on the embossed background with sticky tape.

Email me for a complete list of supplies and the measurements to make one of these tags.

HALLOWEEN - NOT JUST FOR THE KIDDIES!

I had such fun making Halloween Treat packages yesterday.

First, I duplicated a cute little critter candy holder that I fell in love with at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention last month.  Here's a picture of it (thanks, Cheryl).

He is made with two images from the Petal Card Double Punch (#119273, $17.95) glued together to make a pocket and one image from the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (#119854, $16.95) to create a base.  Next I selected an image from my Googly Ghouls Stamp Set (#128063 Clear $12.95), cut it out and attached it to the front.  I chose to use green Frankensteins on the black candy holders and white ghosts on the orange ones.  And the little critter holds one Hershey nugget just perfectly.  Note the Googlie Eyes?  Fun!

Next, I used the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit (#126914, $7.95) to make treat bags.  This kit is so simple to use and includes 10 bags, 20 tags, Pumpkin Pie colored Baker's Twine and those Googlie Eyes I used on the critters!  I ran the bags through my Big Shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder (#120889, $7.95) to make them even more Halloween-ish!  I used the large tags on the goodie bags and had the small round ones left over.  So I stamped images on them and attached to the front of a cello bag containing my yummy Stampin' Up! shortbread cookies made with the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp Holiday kit (#125152, $16.95).  I brushed some orange icing over the tops of them so the pumpkin image would really stand out.  I think they came out really cute.

So here in one shot are all my creations for the day.

Had a great time and will have an even better time handing them out & watching the expressions on my friends' faces.  Yes, these are for my adult friends - cause Halloween isn't just for the kiddies, you know!

Howlstooth & Scaringbone Wreath

Howlstooth & Scaringbone Halloween Wreath

I was fortunate enough to attend Ronda Wade's Creative Convention last month and was blown away by this wreath made by Carolyn Diehl.  She is a member of Glenda Travelstead's team in the Chicago area.

Created by Carolyn Diehl at carolyndiehl.stampinup.net.

Using Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Paper and the Designer Rosette XL Die in her Big Shot, Carolyn made a series of  rosettes. This cool new die will cut and score in one swoop, and even has a choice of edges to use, scalloped or pointed.

But no worries if you haven't ordered your Rosette Die yet.  These little cuties can also be made by using the new Simply Scored tool.  Mark every 1/2" lengthwise on your 12" Designer Series Paper strip, fold it accordian style, and then glue the ends together.   Carolyn covered each of the medallions with different images by using Googly Ghouls, Spooky Bingo Bits and the new Labels Framelits.

Stampin' Up! has a new cotton ribbon and Carolyn made it her own creation by stamping it with the new Border Banter stamp set.  When the decorating was complete, all the creative and decorative shapes were attached to a wreath form with hot glue.  Pretty awesome, huh?

Contact me at itisjaye@gmail.com for a list of supplies used on this wreath.  They all can be ordered in my online store.

Thanks for looking and come back soon.

WOW CHECK OUT THESE COLORS!

I was so pleased to participate in a SHOEBOX SWAP back in FLORIDA with my downline and fellow stampers.

Here is the card I submitted.

I have shown it sideways so you can see the unique cut and the way it opens.  It's actually a standard size card (4-1/4 x 5-1/2), but after scoring and folding, I cut 1-3/4" FROM THE RIGHT FRONT.

How about that new PRIMROSE PETAL color?  JUST YUMMY!  And check out how great it looks with SO SAFFRON, WILD WASABI, BAJA BREEZE and CERTAINLY CELERY!  I used all those inks on Whisper White card stock to stamp, cut and randomly attach images from the new set "BRIGHT BLOSSOMS".  Then I embossed the Whisper White card stock and attachments by using the SQUARE LATTICE FOLDER.

HERE'S A CLOSEUP OF THE AWESOME EMBEDDED EMBOSSING.

I LOVE IT!

I used "BRING ON THE CAKE" for the sentiments.  A new set soon to be announced, "REASON TO SMILE" was used for the flower on the inside, which is also Whisper White card stock.

Drop me a line (itisjaye@gmail.com) for more info, measurements, instructions, etc.  I AM HAPPY TO HELP.

THANKS FOR LOOKING!
